1.1 Small Bubble Air Sprayer: DIY! Personal Experience (+ Photos)!

As for me, for some reason I can not perceive the usual air diffusers in the aquarium. Usual diffusers remind me of a boiling kettle, and the noise from them is quite loud.

Therefore, from the very beginning of aquarium hobby, I am always looking for an aquarium air diffuser with small nano bubbles.

At the beginning, I bought quite expensive branded wooden diffusers. Their disadvantage is that their service life is rather short. Therefore, from the economy, tried to make diffusers by myself. It seemed to be pretty good.

On the manufacturing process with photos and video, I already wrote a separate post.

But recently I needed an aquarium sprayer for our biotope aquarium. The weather outside is still not happy, and there is no particular desire to go looking for and sawing tree branches.

Therefore, on the advice of one person from aquarium forum, I took a chance and ordered an aquarium air diffuser with nano bubbles with Aliexpress.

Immediately clarify that the price of such a stone is quite high. It starts from 6 euro for a diffuser for a nano aquarium, and ends with a price of 32 euro for a “pancake” with a diameter of 20 centimeters.

Ours was 7 centimeters in diameter and cost about 9 euros.

After the first connection was a little disappointed. Though the bubbles were smaller than usual, but they still remained rather large.

Then an idea struck me, sucking in a little water inside the air diffuser and leaving it to soak for a couple of hours.

The idea worked! The bubbles became quite small, and if you turn on the compressor at minimum power, it is almost similar to steam. Very beautiful.

To better understand the effect, I made a short video comparing a conventional and a nano-bubble atomizer in our biotope aquarium.
