Danio Rerio Glo (Danio-Rerio Glo): Breeding! Everything is Simple! Discover!

This image shows young glowing fish-danio-rerio glo.Once, while breeding "butterfly apistograms," was very surprised when 7 fries from 120 began to grow very quickly and color. I thought it should be so. It turned out that on a leaf with caviar "apistograms" in a common aquarium, there were zebrafish danios. And safely grown in conditions for breeding butterflies, with a rise in temperature to + 32.

After that, I thought about breeding zebrafish separately and according to all the rules, and I did it. So, I share my experience.

The first thing to do is determine the gender. Look at the fish in the morning, before feeding, all are plump fishes, these are females. Males always look much slimmer, and sometimes they look like "goners", no matter how you feed them.

Second, we separate males and females of danio rerio. They say you need 2 male for one female. We, in a general aquarium, swam 3 green females, one pink male, one cherry and one blue.

Since there were no separate aquariums, the females planted a scalare to adolescents, the males left in general. We are waiting for a week and a half, watching the bellies of females. They greatly increase.

It is important not to overexpose, otherwise the caviar may become pitted and the female will never "give birth" and may die. For this week, we come up with what to make of "spawning". Large volumes are not needed. We bought the cheapest plastic container in the store of household goods. The main thing that on it was an icon or an inscription "for food products", so as not to poison the fish. At the bottom, you need to put a plastic mesh with such cells, so that the fish can not climb through them. Under the net, I put plastic grass for the decorations to get a couple of centimeters from the bottom. And remember, the zebrafish are very active fish, they will find any loophole in the grid, therefore, very carefully look at the edges, for the absence of the smallest cracks. Whatever mesh did not float up, and lay evenly, I use ordinary pebbles. We place the heater in the spawning room, necessarily with a temperature adjustment. I exhibit at 27 degrees. This is important, because with the help of temperature during spawning and feeding the fry it is possible to regulate their sex. At 27 degrees, the zebrafish yield 50 / 50 males and females. Also put the compressor with an air diffuser on average or weak level, depending on the area and the size of the spawning. Now you need to pour water up to a certain level, approximately, as in nature. I measure 10 centimeters from the bottom and mark the marker. Now, for stimulation, water should be softened.

This photo shows a bottle of distilled water. The bottle with distilled water can be seen on this picture!I use distilled water from any auto shop or pharmacy. I fill in one third (approximately 3 cm from the bottom), one third of the kettle that has cooled down, and add water from the aquarium to the level with the mark. Preparation is over. To stimulate spawning, I put a piece of hornolisnika. What does our spawning for danios look like in our kitchen, and spawn itself via the link to the video below.

Also, such an add-on is all the components, and the container itself, before washing it carefully with soda. A hands, before any operation, in any aquarium, where I will immerse them in water, or feeding always my antibacterial soap.

In the evening, before turning off the light, we place the males and females in the spawn. Feed them is not necessary, for the maximum purity. And in the morning, with the first rays of the sun or the inclusion of light, we can observe the process of spawning itself. Fish are worn like crazy, even with a look is difficult to keep track of. By lunchtime, the speed drops, the fish look tired and contented, and the females are noticeably thinner. You can catch fish and let them into the general aquarium.

Care for caviar of danio.

Carefully pull out everything from the container, except the heater and air diffuser. At the same time, the grid and scenery are shaken under the water to throw off the eggs. They can be seen on the skylight. Now it is important for us to preserve and protect the eggs from the fungus. I use Sera Mycopur. The photo shows a bottle with sulfur. Sera Mycopur can be seen on this picture!

1 a drop for every 2 liters of water, once a week. I drip onto the bubbles of the spray gun to evenly distribute the aquarium. As they write on the forums, you can use methylene blue for this. But I, even with the cultivation of angelfish (scalare) and ramirezi butterflies, began with mycopur'but and the result of hatching of larvae is always excellent. Methylene blue, and have not tried it yet. After that, to improve the protection from the fungus, wrap the container with thick paper to create darkness. The fungus needs light, and we deprive it of the opportunity to grow and harm the eggs. Although I did not turn off the scalars and butterflies on a 24-hour basis and Mycopur perfectly consulted.

Here is the process of spawning, which takes place in our kitchen. VIDEO

All-spawning is over, now the next difficult and very interesting stage. Feeding the fry. I will tell about this in the next post, and also I will have a diary, where I will describe the whole process in days! Keep an eye on my diary
